I chose to draw this Celtic knot wedding tree as a piece to honor my upcoming nuptials. To honor my fiancé and I’s Celtic heritage, I chose this tree as a symbol of our love. I’m currently working on a design for a wedding quilt with my mother, and this was one of the ideas I had for the piece. If find a very common thread between Celtic knot designs and the mandala’s I’ve been drawing lately. Not sure if it’s the geometry involved in both styles, or the detail and care that goes into creating each one, but I’m enjoying exploring each expression lately.
